This market tracks the outcome of the first set in the professional tennis match between Elias Ymer and Timofey Skatov at the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Qualification Final on June 24. The winner of set 1 will determine the market resolution.
The market resolves to Yes if either Elias Ymer or Timofey Skatov wins set 1 of their professional tennis match in the 2026 Wimbledon Men Singles Qualification Final. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective judgment of traders risking real capital. This market may offer sharper or more responsive pricing than conventional sports betting, especially as new information emerges closer to the match. Comparing the two can reveal where professional and amateur opinion diverge on the set outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders directly buy and sell outcome shares at prices they propose or accept. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the market's aggregate belief in that outcome's probability, ranging from near-zero to near-100 cents per share. As new match information surfaces or trader sentiment shifts, the bid-ask spread and midpoint prices adjust in real time, allowing you to enter or exit positions at transparent, market-determined rates.
This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, once the Ymer vs Skatov match concludes and the set winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the first set in the match. Resolution occurs automatically after the event is confirmed, and traders' positions settle based on the verified result. No further action is required from you once the match is complete and the outcome is official.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Player injury reports or withdrawal announcements will trigger sharp repricing, as will recent form updates and head-to-head records. Court surface conditions, weather forecasts, and serve-and-volley tendencies specific to the matchup can influence trader positioning. News about either player's fitness, mental state, or recent tournament results may also prompt significant volume and price movement. Early-match momentum, if live betting data becomes available, could further reshape market expectations.
