Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader sentiment rather than fixed bookmaker margins. Sportsbooks typically adjust odds to balance liability, while prediction markets respond dynamically to new information and trading flow. For the Egypt vs. IR Iran second-half result, comparing Polymarket odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether the crowd is pricing in factors bookmakers have underweighted. These differences create opportunities for informed traders to identify value.

On Polymarket, the Egypt vs. IR Iran second-half result is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probabilities for each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy or sell outcome shares, and the price reflects the ratio of liquidity and cumulative positions. As the match progresses and new information arrives—such as goals, injuries, or tactical shifts—prices adjust to reflect updated expectations. The current odds represent the marginal trader's assessment of the second-half result at that moment.

The market resolves on Jun 27, 2026. Resolution is determined by the official final score of the second half only, excluding any first-half goals. The outcome categories typically cover Egypt win, Iran win, or draw in the second half. Once the match concludes and the official result is confirmed, the market settles and winning shares are paid out. Traders should monitor official match reports and governing body announcements to confirm the final second-half scoreline.

Key catalysts include team lineups and injury announcements before kickoff, first-half performance and scoreline, tactical adjustments at halftime, and in-game events such as goals, red cards, or substitutions during the second half. Weather conditions, referee decisions, and momentum shifts can also influence odds. Real-time updates on player fitness, coaching changes, or unexpected tactical pivots will trigger rapid repricing. Traders should track live match commentary and official team communications to anticipate and react to probability-moving events.
