Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital. This market aggregates decentralized trader conviction, which can lead to sharper or earlier price moves than traditional sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value.
On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with the share price reflecting the implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price adjusts continuously as new trades flow in, meaning early movers and late traders may see different odds. Liquidity depth determines how much you can trade without significant slippage, so checking the order book helps assess execution costs. Real-time price feeds let you enter or exit positions aligned with your conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 18, 2026, once the event concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the final score and official tournament records. Until that point, traders can adjust positions as game conditions unfold and new developments emerge. Early resolution is possible if circumstances make the outcome certain before the scheduled end time.
Team roster updates, injury reports, and recent performance trends can shift trader positioning significantly. Tournament bracket announcements and seeding changes may alter perceived matchup difficulty. Pre-game analysis from sports media and expert commentary often triggers repricing as new information reaches the market. Live game developments—early leads, momentum swings, or key plays—typically drive the most volatile price movements as traders update their expectations in real time.
