Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-07-21 11:25 UTC: if Nova Esports wins the series, the market will resolve to "Nova Esports"; if EDward Gaming wins the series, the market will resolve to "EDward Gaming". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are priced by traders bidding and asking in real time based on their genuine beliefs about the outcome. This market aggregates thousands of independent forecasts, which can reveal signals that traditional sportsbooks have not yet fully incorporated. Comparing the two can highlight where public opinion on this match differs most sharply from conventional betting lines.
On Opinion, this market is priced through an order-book model where traders submit buy and sell orders at their chosen odds. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The spread between the highest bid and lowest ask reflects the current liquidity and confidence in the match outcome. As new information emerges or trading activity intensifies, prices adjust continuously. This mechanism ensures that the odds you see represent genuine market consensus rather than a fixed line set by a single operator.
This market resolves around Jul 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the EDward Gaming vs Nova Esports match result is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution hinges on the final match result as officially reported by the esports league or tournament organizer. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell positions as new developments unfold. Once the event concludes and the winner is confirmed, the market settles and payouts are distributed accordingly.
Several factors may shift odds before Jul 21, 2026. Recent team performance, roster changes, player injuries or absences, and head-to-head matchup history can all influence trader sentiment. Patch updates or meta shifts in the underlying game may favor one team's playstyle over the other. Pre-match interviews, scrimmage results, or public statements from coaches and players can also trigger repricing. As the match date approaches, any breaking news about team preparation or external circumstances will likely drive trading volume and price movement.
