Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-07-19 14:00 UTC: if JD Gaming wins the series, the market will resolve to "JD Gaming"; if EDward Gaming wins the series, the market will resolve to "EDward Gaming". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets are driven by traders seeking profit through accurate forecasting. This market aggregates the views of many independent participants, which can sometimes surface insights that sportsbooks have not yet fully priced in. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value opportunities for informed bettors.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the balance of buy and sell pressure at any given moment, with prices updating in real time as new trades execute. Traders profit by correctly predicting the match result, creating a direct financial incentive for accurate forecasting. This mechanism typically produces efficient prices that incorporate available information quickly.
This market resolves around Jul 19, 2026, once the EDG versus JDG match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the match according to official League of Legends competition records. Resolution occurs automatically once the event result is confirmed, and all positions are settled accordingly. Traders should monitor the match schedule to ensure they close or adjust positions before the resolution deadline.
Several factors can shift odds before resolution. Roster changes, player injuries, or roster substitutions announced by either organization can significantly alter expectations. Recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and meta shifts in the current League of Legends patch influence trader sentiment. Media reports on team form, coaching changes, or internal team dynamics may also trigger repricing. As the match date approaches, any official statements or practice-stage leaks can accelerate price movement, so active traders monitor esports news closely.
