Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi use identical resolution logic: the market resolves based on the official match outcome (Bahia win, Santos win, or draw) after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 25, 2026, with consistent handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from the governing body (CBF - Confederação Brasileira de Futebol) or event organizers, with fallback to consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Polymarket Bahia Win market resolves YES if and only if EC Bahia wins within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; otherwise NO.
Polymarket Santos Win market resolves YES if and only if Santos FC wins within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; otherwise NO.
Polymarket Draw market resolves YES if and only if the match ends in a draw within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; otherwise NO.
Kalshi markets resolve YES for any outcome (Bahia win, Santos win, or tie) that occurs within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Exactly one of the three Polymarket markets will resolve YES; the Kalshi markets collectively confirm the match was completed and resolved.
Extra time and penalties are explicitly excluded from resolution scope across all markets.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all Polymarket markets remain open until the game is completed. Kalshi markets similarly await the rescheduled match outcome.
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, Polymarket Bahia and Santos win markets resolve NO, while the Draw market resolves YES. Kalshi markets would not resolve under this scenario as no match outcome occurs.
Resolution Source Timing: Official CBF statistics are the primary source. If not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, credible reporting consensus may be used as fallback on both platforms.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official announcement of the final match result by CBF or event organizers, or upon consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are not available within 2 hours of match conclusion.
