These markets evaluate how many points will be scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Eastern Michigan and Wisconsin. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Eastern Michigan vs Wisconsin college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026. Each market has a specific numerical threshold; if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the 4th quarter count, and all markets operate independently with their respective thresholds ranging from over 2.5 to over 27.5 points.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. If sportsbook odds suggest a heavy favorite, this market might show a more nuanced view, especially if there’s uncertainty surrounding player performance or potential game-day scenarios. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access and risk assessments between individual bettors and the prediction market participants.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the 4th quarter total. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that specific outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts predicting a higher total, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth, or the number of contracts available at different price points, indicates the level of agreement among traders. The current price reflects the aggregated assessment of all participants.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Eastern Michigan vs Wisconsin game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored in the 4th quarter will be used to determine which contracts payout. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics as reported by a recognized sports data provider. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual 4th quarter total will receive a payout, while those holding contracts predicting a different total will not.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Injury reports for key players on either the Eastern Michigan or Wisconsin teams would likely cause significant movement. Unexpected weather conditions on game day could also shift expectations, particularly if they favor one team’s style of play. Late-breaking news regarding coaching decisions or team strategies could also impact the market. Finally, any significant shifts in public opinion, as reflected in betting percentages at sportsbooks, could also influence traders on Kalshi.
