These markets evaluate how many points will be scored in the final quarter of a college football game between East Carolina and Alabama. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the East Carolina vs Alabama college football game scheduled for Sep 5, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during the 4th quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading continues and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often converging towards probabilities that are more accurate than those initially offered by sportsbooks. However, there can be discrepancies. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs. If a significant number of people believe a certain outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than traditional betting venues.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of the total points scored in the 4th quarter falling within a specific range. As more people buy contracts predicting a higher score, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth—the number of contracts available at different price points—shows the level of conviction among traders. This dynamic pricing mechanism reflects the collective intelligence of those participating in the market.
This market resolves around Sep 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the 4th quarter of the East Carolina vs Alabama game will be the determining factor. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and transparent process. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will receive a payout based on the final price of the contracts they held when the market closed.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either East Carolina or Alabama would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest a high-scoring or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Even public sentiment, reflected in social media discussions and expert analysis, can contribute to shifts in the market. As the game approaches, any updates on team strategies or potential lineup changes will be closely watched by traders.
