Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. This can create opportunities for value betting, where traders identify discrepancies between the two types of odds and capitalize on them. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, especially in response to breaking news or late-developing insights.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share directly reflects the market’s implied probability of that score occurring. As more shares are traded, the price fluctuates based on supply and demand, providing a real-time assessment of market sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The total volume traded in this market influences price discovery, and significant trading activity can lead to rapid shifts in probabilities. The market’s efficiency relies on informed traders actively participating and expressing their views.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Dundee FC vs. Motherwell FC match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will determine the winning share(s) in this market. Resolution will occur shortly after the match concludes and the official score is available. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score will be entitled to a payout based on the market’s pricing at the time of resolution. The platform will verify the result and distribute funds accordingly.
