On traditional sportsbooks, you’ll often see a narrower spread and lower implied probabilities for underdogs compared to decentralized prediction markets like Polymarket. This market typically shows a more pronounced skew toward favorites, reflecting sharper trader sentiment and less overhead. The difference can be significant — for example, sportsbooks might price the favorite closer to 90% chance, while Polymarket traders could push the implied probability far higher or lower based on real-time analysis and positioning. Over time, this divergence offers traders a unique view beyond standard bookmaker lines.
