This group of markets concerns the outcome of a football (soccer) match between Dulwich Hamlet FC and East Grinstead Town FC scheduled for September 5, 2026, in the FA Cup. Markets ask whether Dulwich Hamlet will win, East Grinstead Town will win, or the game will end in a draw.
This event is for the upcoming FA Cup game, scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026 between Dulwich Hamlet FC and East Grinstead Town FC.
The event evaluates multiple winning margin scenarios for the Dulwich versus East Grinstead FA Cup match scheduled for September 5, 2026, considering only regular time (90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalties). Four distinct outcome conditions are defined: Dulwich winning by more than 2.5 goals, Dulwich winning by more than 1.5 goals, East Grinstead winning by more than 1.5 goals, and East Grinstead winning by more than 2.5 goals. Each condition independently determines a 'Yes' resolution if met, with all outcomes exclusively based on the final score at the end of regular time. The rules clarify that Kalshi, the platform hosting this event, holds no official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for September 5, 2026, 14:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds, like those displayed for this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow anyone to express their belief about the outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly deviates from the sportsbook's initial assessment. It’s possible to find arbitrage opportunities by comparing the implied probabilities across both types of platforms.
Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices for the Dulwich Hamlet vs. East Grinstead match may vary between Polymarket and Limitless due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structures, which can influence price discovery. Furthermore, the liquidity available on each platform differs, potentially leading to price discrepancies. Polymarket currently favors a draw at 96%, while Limitless does not have sufficient data to show a leading outcome. These differences in market participation and trading volume contribute to the observed price variations.
