Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and to balance action, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant difference emerges, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information and perspectives that sportsbooks might initially overlook, leading to potentially more accurate probabilities.
