Compared to traditional sportsbook odds, prediction market odds for this market often show tighter spreads and quicker adjustments to new information. While sportsbooks may lag behind with slower updates, traders on Polymarket react instantly to developments such as player performance shifts or weather changes. This can create divergence in implied probabilities, sometimes offering better value on Polymarket depending on recent on-course events.
This market resolves around Aug 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The leader after the third round will be determined from official tournament results, and the market will close accordingly. No further trading will occur after the resolution timestamp, locking in the final probabilities based on trader sentiment up to that point.
Key signals that could shift this market include notable performances in early third-round play, weather delays affecting scoring, and any last-minute changes in player form or strategy. Injuries, equipment issues, or sudden leaderboard changes can also cause rapid re-pricing. Traders will react live to each stroke and official update, making volatility likely as the round nears its conclusion.
