In the upcoming FA Cup game between Dover Athletic FC and Folkestone Invicta FC, scheduled for September 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Dover Athletic FC vs. Folkestone Invicta FC match originally scheduled for September 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the aggregated insights of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate. This market provides a unique perspective based on collective intelligence.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically to reflect the evolving consensus. The total volume traded provides an indication of how much confidence the market has in each potential exact score.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Dover Athletic FC vs. Folkestone Invicta FC match will determine the winning outcome in this market. The resolution will be based on the exact score achieved during the game, as reported by an authoritative sports news source. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the outcome and their shareholdings in the winning selection.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments could shift the perceived probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-game commentary from analysts, might also affect the market. Furthermore, significant betting volume on a particular outcome could trigger price movements as traders react to the collective sentiment. Monitoring these signals can provide insights into potential shifts in the market's outlook.
