If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2026, 23:59 UTC, or official final goal totals for Désiré Doué and Kobbie Mainoo are not available within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "NO." The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA.com; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader supply and demand. Sportsbooks may incorporate sharper professional action and tighter risk management, whereas prediction markets can respond faster to emerging public sentiment and niche information. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines on 2026 World Cup goal totals can reveal whether the crowd is pricing Doué or Mainoo differently than professional oddsmakers.
On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective willingness of participants to hold exposure, with higher prices indicating stronger confidence that Doué will record more goals than Mainoo. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how quickly prices adjust to new information, and wider bid-ask spreads may appear during periods of lower activity or high uncertainty about player availability and tournament dynamics.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, once the 2026 FIFA World Cup concludes and final goal tallies are verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing the total number of goals scored by Ousmane Doué to the total number scored by Kobbie Mainoo across all tournament matches in which each player participates. Own goals and penalty kicks count toward official goal totals. Resolution hinges on official FIFA records and widely reported match statistics.
Key catalysts include squad announcements and team selection decisions from France and England, which will confirm whether both players are included in their respective rosters. Injury updates, domestic league form, and managerial changes at club level can shift trader confidence in each player's tournament impact. International friendlies and qualifying matches may provide updated performance data. Playing time allocation, tactical shifts, and early World Cup group-stage results will all influence perceived goal-scoring opportunity. Transfer news or unexpected roster changes closer to the tournament could trigger sharp repricing.
