Description
This event group covers a Dota 2 Best-of-2 match between Virtus.pro and paiN Gaming at ESL One Birmingham Group B, scheduled for March 23, 2026. Markets span match outcome, individual game winners, and in-game statistics (kills, Roshan, barracks, day/night cycle, ultra kills, rampages, and first blood).
Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Kalshi and Polymarket apply identical resolution logic: Dotabuff as primary source, 2-hour publication window, credible reporting fallback, 50-50 for cancellation/delay/forfeit/incomplete games, and remade-game-only logic for game-specific markets.
Primary resolution logic:
Dotabuff (https://www.dotabuff.com); credible reporting (video evidence, consensus) if Dotabuff unavailable within 2 hours of event conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Match outcome (BO2 series): Resolves to Virtus.pro or paiN Gaming if that team wins the series; resolves 50-50 if match is canceled, tied, delayed beyond 7 days without completion, or ends in forfeit/disqualification/walkover.
Individual game winners (Game 1 / Game 2): Resolves to the team that wins that game if completed; resolves 50-50 if game is never played, not completed, or series is already decided before that game is needed.
In-game statistics (kills, Roshan, barracks, day/night, ultra kills, rampages, first blood): Resolves based on completed game data; resolves 50-50 if match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, game is never played, or game begins but is not completed (except first blood and forfeit scenarios, which resolve based on prior stoppage if applicable).
Remade games: If a game is remade, resolution uses the remade game data only; any prior game data is discarded.
Forfeit mid-game: If a game begins but ends via forfeit, resolution for in-game stats is based on data prior to stoppage; if no qualifying event occurred (e.g., no ultra kill), market resolves No or 50-50 per specific rule.
First blood special case: If first blood occurs prior to a remake, resolves to that team; if first blood does not occur prior to remake, resolution uses the remade game.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Series already decided before Game 2: If Virtus.pro or paiN Gaming wins Game 1 in a BO2, Game 2 is not played. All Game 2 markets resolve 50-50.
Match delayed beyond 7 days: If match is delayed more than 7 days from scheduled date (March 23, 2026) without a winner determined, all markets resolve 50-50.
Forfeit, disqualification, or walkover: If match ends via forfeit, disqualification, or walkover before play begins, series outcome resolves 50-50. If one team wins mid-game via opponent forfeit, that team wins the series and any completed games resolve normally.
Tie in BO2: If both teams win one game each (1-1 tie), series outcome resolves 50-50.
Game remade: Resolution uses remade game data only; prior game is ignored. Exception: first blood prior to remake stands if it occurred.
Timing:
Resolution occurs within 2 hours of match/game conclusion based on Dotabuff publication. If Dotabuff does not publish within 2 hours, credible reporting (video evidence, consensus) is used. Markets resolve on or shortly after event conclusion date (March 23, 2026, or later if delayed).
