On Polymarket, the Over outcome is at 100.0%, while the match itself is at 0.1%. Resolution will be determined by Dotabuff records. Watch for the match kickoff on July 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET to see how the early game pace and team aggression shape the kill total in Game 2.
This market refers to the Dota 2 match between Vici Gaming and PARIVISION in the Esports World Cup Group C, initially scheduled for July 8 at 10:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Vici Gaming" if Vici Gaming win the match against PARIVISION. This market will resolve to "PARIVISION" if PARIVISION win the match against Vici Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital on outcomes. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because participants have direct financial exposure and access to specialized information. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injury reports. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal where consensus differs and identify potential value.
This market resolves around Jul 8, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect the actual match result as confirmed through official esports reporting and tournament records. Until that time, traders can continue buying and selling shares based on their expectations. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the event's completion, after which no further trading is permitted and payouts are distributed to holders of the winning outcome.
Several factors could shift odds before resolution. Team roster changes, player substitutions, or unexpected roster announcements may alter perceived strength. Pre-match commentary from analysts, recent tournament performance, and head-to-head records influence trader sentiment. In-game developments during the match itself—such as early kills, map control, or item builds—can trigger rapid repricing as live information emerges. Injury reports or last-minute lineup adjustments closer to the event could also trigger significant movement. Community discussion and expert predictions often amplify volatility around major tournaments.
