This event group covers a Dota 2 best-of-two series between Team Yandex and Inner Circle (also referenced as Inner Circle x Insanity) scheduled for July 8, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET as part of the Esports World Cup 2026. Markets across three platforms attempt to predict the match outcome using different result formats: binary win/loss, series score (2-0, 1-1), and draw outcomes.
In the upcoming Dota 2 best-of-two series, scheduled for July 8, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET, if the series ends in a draw (1-1), this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the series is postponed, this market will remain open until the series has been completed. If the series is canceled entirely, with no make-up, this market will resolve "Yes". This market refers only to the result of the best-of-two series (both games). The primary resolution source for this market is the official results of the event as recognized by the tournament organizer. However, if the tournament organizer has not published final results within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the tournament organizer. Revisions to officially declared final results made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The market resolves based on the outcome of the Dota 2 match between Inner Circle and Team Yandex at the Esports World Cup 2026. Resolution occurs when either team achieves victory or the match concludes in a tie, with each possible outcome corresponding to a distinct market resolution.
This market refers to the match between Team Yandex and Inner Circle x Insanity in the Esports World Cup 2026, scheduled for Jul 8, 2026. If either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason, this market will resolve to the team declared the winner, regardless of whether the match has started or when the decision is made. If the match is not completed with an official result by August 8, 2026, 23:59 UTC, the market will resolve to "Other."
Prediction markets and sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets reflect what traders actually believe will happen—since they profit directly from accuracy. Prediction market odds often incorporate faster-moving information and can be more efficient than traditional sportsbooks, especially for niche esports matchups. However, sportsbook odds benefit from professional oddsmakers' expertise and real-time adjustment. Comparing both sources helps you identify mispricing and sharpen your edge on this market.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, causing temporary price gaps. Polymarket and Kalshi may also resolve using slightly different verification timelines or data sources, creating uncertainty that traders price in differently. Platform-specific rules around trading halts, withdrawal delays, or market pausing can also shift incentives. These divergences typically narrow as the match approaches and arbitrageurs exploit the spread, but they offer opportunities for alert traders to identify undervalued outcomes on either side.
Team roster changes, player injuries, or last-minute substitutions can shift odds significantly, as can recent tournament performance and head-to-head records. Patch updates to Dota 2 itself may favor one team's playstyle over the other, triggering repricing. Public statements from coaches or players, scrim results, or leaked strategies can also influence trader sentiment. As the match date approaches, betting volume typically increases and odds stabilize. Any unexpected news about either team's preparation or competitive standing will likely trigger sharp moves in this market.
