On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because of different user bases, liquidity conditions, and trading activity. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might have deeper volume on a specific outcome, pushing its price closer to perceived fairness, while the other could reflect outlier bets or lower participation. Additionally, each venue sets its own fee structure and minimum tick sizes, which influence how traders place bets and where the market eventually settles. These factors combined often create visible gaps in implied probabilities between the two platforms.
