If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes differently. Sportsbooks apply fixed margins and employ professional oddsmakers, while prediction markets derive prices from continuous trader participation and real-time supply and demand. This market reflects crowdsourced expectations rather than a bookmaker's calculated line. Prediction market odds often incorporate late-breaking information and sentiment shifts faster than sportsbooks adjust their offerings, making them a useful reference point for comparing consensus expectations against published betting lines.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism where buying or selling shares directly influences the odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the collective assessment of all active participants. As traders accumulate positions ahead of the match, the price adjusts continuously to balance supply and demand. Liquidity providers help maintain tight spreads, enabling efficient price discovery for this esports matchup.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the best-of-two series concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. Resolution occurs after official tournament broadcasters and organizers confirm the final score, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning positions.
Team roster changes, recent tournament performance, and player injury announcements can shift trader sentiment significantly. Patch updates to Dota 2 that alter hero balance or meta strategy may influence perceived team strength. Pre-match interviews, coaching changes, or public statements from team leadership often trigger repricing. Live match performance during Group A play provides real-time data that can swing odds dramatically, especially if early games reveal unexpected team form or strategic vulnerabilities.
