Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Rune Eaters vs Xtreme Gaming match displays real-time odds across three outcomes: a win for Rune Eaters, a win for Xtreme Gaming, or a draw. Traders can view the current price of each outcome, historical price movements, and trading volume to understand market sentiment. This live data helps you track shifting expectations as the match approaches and during live play.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market aggregates the collective forecast of Polymarket participants, which may differ from what major sportsbooks are offering. Comparing the two can reveal where professional oddsmakers and decentralized traders disagree on the match outcome, potentially signaling value or consensus shifts in real time.

On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome's price reflects the proportion of total liquidity allocated to it, with prices ranging from near-zero to near-one. As traders place orders, the price adjusts to balance supply and demand. Higher prices indicate stronger collective confidence in that outcome. You can enter or exit positions at any time before resolution, and your profit or loss depends on the final price relative to your entry point.

This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will reflect which team won or whether the match ended in a draw. Resolution occurs after sufficient confirmation of the final score, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The exact timing may shift slightly if the match is delayed or rescheduled.

Key catalysts include team roster changes, injury announcements, recent tournament performance, and pre-match analysis from esports commentators. Patch updates to Dota 2 can shift the competitive landscape, favoring certain team strategies. Social media sentiment, betting trends from other venues, and expert predictions may also influence trader positioning. Live match developments—early game momentum, key player performance, and strategic pivots—typically drive the most dramatic price swings. Monitor official team announcements and esports news outlets for updates that could reshape expectations before the match begins.
