PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi references a different match (Estar Backs vs PlayTime, Jun 16) than Limitless and Polymarket (RisingRage vs Estar Backs, Jun 15). Additionally, Limitless and Polymarket diverge on forfeit/walkover treatment: Limitless resolves to the declared winner; Polymarket resolves 50-50 for pre-match forfeits.Hero tip: Do not cross-trade between Kalshi and the other platforms—they track different matches. Between Limitless and Polymarket, the critical divergence is forfeit handling. If a forfeit occurs before the match starts, Limitless pays the winner while Polymarket splits the pot. Confirm the official match schedule and bracket before placing large positions.

Critical divergence points:

  • Limitless: Covers RisingRage vs Estar Backs (Jun 15, 2026). Forfeits, disqualifications, and walkovers resolve to the declared winner, regardless of match start status. Resolution deadline: July 15, 2026, 23:59 UTC. Key Quote: 'If either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason, this market will resolve to the team declared the winner.'
  • Polymarket: Covers RisingRage vs Estar Backs (Jun 15, 2026, 1:00 PM ET). Pre-match forfeits/walkovers resolve 50-50. Mid-match forfeits on the clinching game count as completed. Deadline: 7 days from scheduled date (June 22, 2026). Key Quote: 'If the match ends due to the clinching game being forfeited this will count as a completed match.' For pre-match: 'If the match is canceled (not played at all for any reason)... this market will resolve to 50-50.'
  • Kalshi: References 'The International South America Closed Qualifier 2026: estarbacks vs. PlayTime' match on Jun 16, 2026, 7:00 PM EDT—a different matchup entirely. This is not the RisingRage vs Estar Backs series tracked by Limitless and Polymarket.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Dota 2 Upper bracket round 1 match between RisingRage and Estar Backs in the The International South America Closed Qualifier Playoffs, initially scheduled for June 15 at 1:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "RisingRage" if RisingRage win the match against Estar Backs. This market will resolve to "Estar Backs" if Estar Backs win the match against RisingRage. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market's odds reflect real-time consensus from thousands of participants rather than a single operator's model. Comparing this market to traditional esports betting lines can reveal value opportunities, though prediction market prices tend to be more efficient over longer timeframes due to their open-participation structure.

Team roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements could shift odds significantly before the series begins. Recent tournament results, scrim performance leaks, and public statements from team leadership often influence trader sentiment. Patch updates to Dota 2 that alter hero viability may favor one team's draft style over the other. Media coverage, betting syndicate activity, and shifts in platform liquidity can also trigger price swings. Monitor official team communications and esports news outlets for developments that could reshape expectations heading into this matchup.
