This market refers to the Dota 2 match between PARIVISION and MOUZ in the Esports World Cup Group C, initially scheduled for July 10 at 10:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "PARIVISION" if PARIVISION win the match against MOUZ. This market will resolve to "MOUZ" if MOUZ win the match against PARIVISION. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital. For esports events like this one, prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper odds because traders have direct financial exposure to accuracy. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value opportunities.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome trade continuously, and the current price reflects the aggregate belief of all active traders. As more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls, creating a dynamic equilibrium. This mechanism ensures transparent, friction-free pricing without reliance on a traditional bookmaker.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect the official tournament result as reported by Esports World Cup organizers and major esports news outlets. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final game, allowing quick settlement and capital redeployment.
Several factors can shift odds before the match concludes. Roster announcements, player injuries, or unexpected roster swaps involving either team could trigger sharp repricing. Recent tournament performance, scrim results, or public statements from coaches and players often influence trader sentiment. Patch updates to Dota 2 that alter hero viability may also sway expectations. Additionally, early match performance—kills, objectives, and map control in the opening minutes—typically generates the largest intra-match volatility as traders react to live gameplay.
