PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Kalshi and Polymarket apply identical resolution logic: official dotabuff.com data as primary source, 2-hour fallback to credible reporting, 50-50 for cancellations/delays beyond 7 days/forfeits/walkovers, and game-specific metrics resolve based on completed play or prior events.

Primary resolution logic:

Official Dota 2 match data from https://www.dotabuff.com; if unavailable within 2 hours of match conclusion, consensus of credible reporting and video evidence.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner (PARIVISION vs GamerLegion) resolves to the team that wins the best-of-3 series; if match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days without play, or ends in forfeit/disqualification/walkover before a winner is determined, resolves 50-50.
  • Individual game winners resolve to the team that wins that specific game; if the game is not completed, resolves 50-50; if the game is never played because the series is already decided, resolves 50-50.
  • Series length (Games Total O/U 2.5) resolves Over if 3+ games are played, Under if fewer than 3; games won by forfeit/disqualification/default count if the match is completed; if match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or incomplete with no winner determined, resolves 50-50.
  • Game Handicap (PARI -1.5 vs GamerLegion +1.5) resolves to PARIVISION if they win 2+ more games than GamerLegion; otherwise resolves to GamerLegion; forfeits/disqualifications/defaults count if match is completed; if match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or incomplete with no winner, resolves 50-50.
  • In-game metrics (Ultra Kills, Rampages, Roshan kills, barracks destruction, daytime end, first blood, total kills) resolve based on completed game data; if a game is incomplete, resolution is based on events that occurred prior to stoppage, or 50-50 if no determinative event occurred; if a game is never played due to forfeit/disqualification/walkover or because the series is already decided, resolves 50-50.
  • Daytime end resolution uses the base in-game day/night cycle timer (daytime: 0-5, 10-15, 20-25 min, etc.; nighttime: 5-10, 15-20, 25-30 min, etc.); temporary ability-based nighttime effects do not affect resolution.
  • First blood resolves to the team that secures the first kill; if first blood does not occur before a game is remade, resolution is based on the remade game; if first blood never occurs in a completed game, resolves 50-50.

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Series clinches before Game 3: If one team wins 2-0, Game 3 is never played. All Game 3-specific markets (Game 3 winner, Game 3 Ultra Kill, Game 3 Roshan, Game 3 barracks, Game 3 daytime end, Game 3 Rampage) resolve 50-50. Games Total O/U 2.5 resolves Under (only 2 games played). Game Handicap resolves based on the 2-0 result.
  • Game begins but does not complete: If a game is interrupted mid-play and one team forfeits, disqualification occurs, or walkover is declared: (1) if a winner is determined, that team wins; (2) for in-game metrics, resolution is based on events prior to stoppage (e.g., if an Ultra Kill occurred before stoppage, resolves Yes; if not, resolves No); (3) if no determinative event occurred, resolves 50-50.
  • Match delayed beyond 7 days without play: If the match is postponed and no games have begun within 7 days of the scheduled date, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • Forfeit/disqualification/walkover before any game: If one team forfeits, is disqualified, or walks over before the match begins, the match winner market resolves 50-50. Series length and handicap also resolve 50-50 unless the match is completed with a winner determined.
  • Game is remade: All game-specific metrics (winner, Ultra Kill, Roshan, barracks, daytime end, Rampage, first blood, total kills) resolve based on the remade game only. If first blood occurred in the original game before the remake, resolution is based on the original first blood; otherwise, resolution is based on the remade game.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon completion of the match (when a series winner is determined) or upon expiration of the 7-day delay window. In-game metrics resolve upon completion of the relevant game. If dotabuff.com has not published results within 2 hours of match conclusion, resolution may be delayed pending credible reporting or video evidence.
