PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Kalshi and Polymarket share identical resolution sources (DotaBuff), edge-case handling (50-50 for cancellations/delays/incomplete games), and counting rules (forfeits count if match completes; incomplete games resolve 50-50).

Primary resolution logic:

Official DotaBuff match records (https://www.dotabuff.com); if unpublished within 2 hours of match conclusion, consensus of credible reporting and video evidence.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner resolves to the team that wins 2 games in the best-of-three series.
  • Individual game winners resolve based on which team wins that specific game.
  • Series game count (O/U 2.5) resolves to Over if 3+ games are played, Under if fewer than 3.
  • In-game metrics (total kills, Roshan kills, barracks destroyed, day/night cycle timing, rampages, ultra kills, first blood) resolve based on official in-game scoreboard data from DotaBuff.
  • Games won by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default count toward series and game totals, provided the match is completed.
  • If the clinching game is forfeited, the match is considered completed and resolves accordingly.
  • Day/night cycle resolution uses only the base in-game clock timer; temporary hero ability effects (e.g., Night Stalker) do not affect resolution.
  • Kills are counted when an enemy hero dies and the game awards a hero kill event to the opposing team's scoreboard; denies, building destructions, and assists do not count.

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Match Canceled or Not Played: If the match is canceled entirely or delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without play beginning, all markets resolve to 50-50.
  • Incomplete Match with Forfeit: If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to opponent forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, series-level markets resolve to 50-50. Individual game metrics resolve based on data collected before stoppage; if the condition was not met, resolve to No/Under.
  • Game Not Played (Series Clinched): If a game is not played because the series result is already determined (e.g., one team clinches 2-0 before Game 3), all markets for that game resolve to 50-50.
  • Game Remade: If a game is remade, resolution is based on the remade game only. For first blood, if first blood occurred before the remake, use that result; otherwise, use the remade game.
  • Tie or No Winner Determined: If the match ends in a tie or no winner is determined within 7 days, all markets resolve to 50-50.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon official publication of match results on DotaBuff or, if unpublished within 2 hours of match conclusion, upon consensus of credible reporting. Markets for individual games resolve as each game concludes. Series-level markets resolve when the series winner is determined (first team to 2 wins).
