This market refers to the Dota 2 match between LGD Gaming and Team Yandex in the Esports World Cup Group D, initially scheduled for July 10 at 12:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "LGD Gaming" if LGD Gaming win the match against Team Yandex. This market will resolve to "Team Yandex" if Team Yandex win the match against LGD Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price events differently because they operate on distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and risk management, while prediction markets derive prices from continuous trading among participants. This market reflects what traders believe will happen, often incorporating real-time information and crowd wisdom. Comparing the two can reveal gaps in how different venues value the outcome, though prediction market prices tend to converge toward actual results as the event approaches.
On Predict, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the most recent trade, and spreads between bid and ask prices indicate how much liquidity exists at each level. As more volume flows in, prices adjust to balance supply and demand, ensuring the market continuously reprices based on new information and trader conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will reflect the official result from the Esports World Cup Group D fixture. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as new information emerges—team roster updates, recent performance, or injury news—giving traders opportunities to adjust their positions based on evolving circumstances.
Several factors could shift trader sentiment before resolution. Roster changes, player substitutions, or last-minute lineup announcements often trigger sharp repricing. Recent scrim results, patch updates affecting hero viability, or performance trends in earlier Group D matches may influence how traders assess each team's chances. Injury reports or visa complications could also impact confidence. Additionally, odds typically tighten as the match approaches, reflecting reduced uncertainty and increased trading activity closer to game time.
