This event group covers a Dota 2 best-of-two series between LGD Gaming and OG scheduled for July 8, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET as part of Esports World Cup 2026. Markets across Kalshi and Polymarket attempt to capture the match outcome, but differ significantly in scope and resolution logic.
In the upcoming Dota 2 best-of-two series, scheduled for July 8, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET, if the series ends in a draw (1-1), this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the series is postponed, this market will remain open until the series has been completed. If the series is canceled entirely, with no make-up, this market will resolve "Yes". This market refers only to the result of the best-of-two series (both games). The primary resolution source for this market is the official results of the event as recognized by the tournament organizer. However, if the tournament organizer has not published final results within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the tournament organizer. Revisions to officially declared final results made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The market resolves based on the outcome of the Dota 2 match between OG and LGD Gaming at the Esports World Cup 2026. Resolution occurs when either team achieves victory or the match concludes in a tie, with each possible outcome corresponding to a distinct market resolution.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and regulatory frameworks, causing price divergence. Kalshi and Polymarket may also interpret or weight match outcomes differently—for example, one platform might focus on head-to-head victory while another includes map-score nuances. Timing of large trades, regional trader concentration, and platform-specific incentives or fee structures can all widen spreads. Monitoring both venues helps you identify arbitrage opportunities or confirm which consensus is more robust before the match resolves.
Key catalysts include roster announcements or player substitutions, recent tournament results and team momentum, patch changes to Dota 2 that favor one team's playstyle, injury or availability updates, and head-to-head scrim results or coach commentary. Major esports news outlets often break roster or strategic shifts days before matches, giving early movers an edge. Social media sentiment from pro players and analysts can also shift trader conviction rapidly. Monitor team social channels and esports news feeds to stay ahead of price moves on this market.
