This market refers to the Dota 2 match between Inner Circle and Virtus.pro in the Esports World Cup Group D, initially scheduled for July 10 at 12:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "Inner Circle" if Inner Circle win the match against Virtus.pro. This market will resolve to "Virtus.pro" if Virtus.pro win the match against Inner Circle. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit margin, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader belief and real-money commitment. Esports prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper or more reactive pricing than sportsbooks, especially for niche matchups, because traders with deep game knowledge compete directly. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd sees edge or mispricing.
On Predict, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers submit bids and asks that determine the real-time probability. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the marginal trade—the last executed transaction—and moves instantly as new information or trader conviction shifts the balance of supply and demand. Wider bid-ask spreads indicate lower liquidity or higher uncertainty, while tight spreads suggest confidence and active participation. Your entry and exit prices depend on the exact moment you transact relative to other traders.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result in the best-of-two format within Group D of the Esports World Cup. Traders holding positions on the correct outcome will receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final game, depending on official confirmation timing.
Key catalysts include roster changes, player illness or unavailability, recent tournament performance by either squad, and public statements from team leadership about preparation or strategy. Patch updates to Dota 2 before the match can shift meta expectations and alter which team's strengths align better with the current game state. Betting syndicates or professional analysts publishing predictions may also trigger volume spikes and repricing. Live pre-match commentary and odds from other esports venues can influence trader positioning as new information surfaces closer to kickoff.
