This market refers to the Dota 2 match between Carstensz and Ivory in the EPL World Series Southeast Asia Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 13 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Carstensz" if Carstensz win the match against Ivory. This market will resolve to "Ivory" if Ivory win the match against Carstensz. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and risk management, while prediction markets derive prices from continuous trader participation and real-money stakes. This market reflects aggregated trader conviction rather than a bookmaker's line. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook spreads can reveal where professional and retail sentiment diverge, though prediction markets often incorporate information faster as new developments emerge.
On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, with the current price reflecting the probability implied by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price adjusts continuously as new trades execute, meaning early movers and late traders may encounter different odds. Liquidity and trading volume influence how easily participants can enter or exit positions at favorable prices, with deeper order books typically enabling tighter spreads.
This market resolves around Jun 16, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score and winner of the best-of-three series between the two teams. Resolution occurs after official confirmation, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning positions.
Team roster changes, player injuries, recent tournament performance, and pre-match analysis from esports commentators can all shift trader expectations. Scrim results or public statements from team leadership may influence sentiment. As the match date approaches, updated odds from sportsbooks and community discussion on esports forums often trigger repricing. During the series itself, individual game outcomes within the best-of-three format will drive sharp movements as traders react to live performance and momentum swings.
