This market refers to the Dota 2 match between BALU and Habibis in the European Pro League Group B, initially scheduled for July 2 at 12:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "BALU" if BALU win the match against Habibis. This market will resolve to "Habibis" if Habibis win the match against BALU. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of many independent traders competing for profit. This market's odds reflect real money at stake from participants who research the teams, recent form, and matchup dynamics. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the two communities disagree on the likely outcome, though both sources contain valuable signal about the event.
On Polymarket, traders set the price by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the aggregate belief of all participants; higher prices indicate stronger conviction that an outcome will occur. Liquidity and trading volume influence how easily prices move, and wider spreads between bid and ask can appear during low-activity periods. Real-time price discovery happens as new information emerges about team rosters, recent performance, or other factors relevant to the match.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result within the European Pro League Group B. Resolution occurs after the best-of-three series is complete and the winner is determined. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The exact timing may shift slightly if the match is delayed or rescheduled.
Key catalysts include roster changes, player injuries, or last-minute substitutions announced before the series begins. Recent tournament results and head-to-head records between BALU and Habibis can shift trader sentiment as new data surfaces. Patch updates to Dota 2 that alter hero viability or game balance may influence perceived team strengths. Commentary from analysts, coach statements, or scrim results shared publicly can also trigger repricing. As the match date approaches, any news about team preparation, morale, or external circumstances could move this market meaningfully.
