This market refers to the Dota 2 Upper bracket semifinal 2 match between 1win and Power Rangers in the DreamLeague Division 2 Playoffs, initially scheduled for April 27 at 8:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "1win" if 1win win the match against Power Rangers. This market will resolve to "Power Rangers" if Power Rangers win the match against 1win. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they aggregate decentralized trader sentiment rather than professional oddsmakers' models. Sportsbooks typically incorporate sharp money, injury reports, and proprietary analytics, while prediction markets reflect crowd wisdom and real-time belief updates. For esports matchups like 1win versus Power Rangers, prediction markets may react faster to roster announcements or scrim results, whereas sportsbooks adjust more cautiously to manage liability. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception differs from professional assessment.
On Polymarket, the 1win versus Power Rangers match is priced as a binary outcome contract reflecting the probability traders assign to each team winning the best-of-three. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices move continuously as new orders flow in, driven by team news, recent tournament results, and player performance metrics. The contract's value represents the collective forecast of Polymarket participants, with higher prices indicating stronger expected likelihood. Volume and liquidity on the order book determine how quickly prices adjust to new information about either squad's readiness or strategic preparation.
The market resolves on Apr 27, 2026 following the completion of the best-of-three match in the DreamLeague Division 2 Playoffs. The outcome is determined by which team wins the majority of games in the series. Once the official result is published by DreamLeague or verified through trusted esports data sources, the market settles accordingly. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final game conclusion.
Key catalysts include roster announcements or last-minute player substitutions, recent scrim results or bootcamp performance leaks, and outcomes of other DreamLeague Division 2 matches that affect playoff seeding pressure. Team-specific factors like patch adaptability, hero pool depth, and mid-series momentum shifts during the best-of-three will drive repricing. Public statements from coaches or players about preparation level, meta confidence, or opponent analysis can trigger sharp moves. Injury or availability concerns for star players on either squad would significantly impact implied probabilities as traders reassess competitive balance.
