Description

This market refers to the Dota 2 match between 1win and OG in the Esports World Cup Group D, initially scheduled for July 10 at 12:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "1win" if 1win win the match against OG. This market will resolve to "OG" if OG win the match against 1win. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://www.dotabuff.com. However, if https://www.dotabuff.com has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the 1win vs OG Esports World Cup match displays real-time odds and price movements as traders buy and sell shares tied to each team's chances of winning this best-of-two Group D fixture. The interface shows current implied probabilities, 24-hour volume, and historical price charts so you can monitor how sentiment shifts throughout the trading period. This market aggregates the collective predictions of all participants, reflecting live consensus on which team is favored to advance.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader belief and financial risk. This market may show tighter or wider spreads than conventional betting venues, and the implied probabilities can shift faster in response to team news, roster changes, or recent performance. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue sees value the other has missed.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds continuously as traders place bets. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome share trades between 0 and 1, with the price representing the implied probability of that result. As volume flows in, the pricing curve updates in real time, ensuring that late traders pay slightly higher prices for popular outcomes and receive better rates for contrarian positions. This mechanism encourages liquidity and keeps prices responsive to new information.

This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will reflect the final score and winner of the best-of-two series between the two teams in Group D of the Esports World Cup. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive full payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution timing may shift slightly if the event is delayed or rescheduled.

Key catalysts include roster announcements, recent tournament results, player injuries or substitutions, and pre-match analysis from esports commentators and analysts. Patch updates to Dota 2 that shift the competitive meta can also reshape team strengths and trader expectations. As the match date approaches, any official statements about format changes, venue issues, or team preparation will likely trigger repricing. Live in-game events during the series itself—such as early map wins or momentum swings—will drive sharp price movements as traders update their forecasts in real time.
