Prediction market odds, like those found on Kalshi and Predict, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow anyone to trade and express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, as prediction markets may incorporate information not fully captured by sportsbook algorithms. However, both types of odds aim to accurately forecast the probability of an event, and comparing them can be a valuable exercise for informed decision-making regarding this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding potential pitching changes, key player injuries, or weather forecasts impacting the game could shift expectations. In-game events, such as early scoring or dominant pitching performances, will also likely cause significant price movements. Unexpected delays or postponements of the game could also introduce volatility. Monitoring these signals and understanding their potential impact on the likelihood of extra innings is crucial for traders in this market.
