You can monitor the current market price, 24-hour volume activity, and historical price trends to understand how sentiment has shifted. Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant pools and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the beliefs of traders who profit or lose based on accuracy. Sportsbooks may adjust lines faster in response to sharp money, whereas prediction markets can lag if retail traders dominate. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines on the same matchup can reveal whether one venue is undervaluing or overvaluing a particular outcome, creating potential arbitrage or hedging opportunities.

On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the marginal trade—the last transaction executed—and moves as new orders flow in. Traders holding winning shares receive a fixed payout, typically $1 per share, so the current price directly represents the implied probability. Liquidity and spreads vary throughout the day, so checking the order book depth helps you understand execution costs and market tightness before placing larger trades.

This market resolves around Jun 13, 2026, once the Detroit-Cleveland game's first five innings are complete and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score or result recorded at the end of the fifth inning—typically the team with more runs, or a specific run-total threshold if the market is structured that way. Resolution is automatic once the game data is confirmed, and all winning shares are credited immediately. Check the market details page for the exact outcome definition to ensure you understand which specific metric drives settlement.

Key catalysts include lineup announcements, starting pitcher confirmation, and weather updates closer to game time. Injuries to star players or bullpen availability can shift early-inning scoring expectations significantly. Recent team form, head-to-head trends in early innings, and any last-minute trades or roster moves may also influence trader positioning. Breaking news about field conditions, umpire assignments, or travel delays can trigger repricing. As game time approaches, market depth typically increases and volatility may spike if new information emerges, so monitoring news feeds and team social media in the hours before first pitch is essential for timing your trades.
