If the player is scratched, not in the starting lineup, or fails to record a plate appearance, the market resolves at the fair market price. Pinch-hit at-bats are excluded from RBI calculations. Only players who start and record at least one plate appearance contribute to the settlement, which is determined solely by the RBIs they achieve during the game.
