The event determines if either David Sandlin or Andrew Sears records at least 15 outs as a starting pitcher in the Detroit vs. Chicago professional baseball game scheduled for September 18, 2026. If a pitcher is scratched or does not start the game, the market resolves to the fair market price. Relief appearances, where a pitcher enters the game after not starting, also result in the market resolving to the fair market price, as only starting pitcher performances count toward the 15-out threshold. The settlement hinges solely on the starting pitcher's participation and performance metrics.
