The event evaluates two separate pitching performance scenarios in the Detroit vs. A's game scheduled for July 31, 2026. For Casey Mize, the market resolves to Yes if he records at least 16 outs as a starting pitcher. For Jeffrey Springs, the market resolves to Yes if he records at least 15 outs as a starting pitcher. If either pitcher is scratched or does not start, the market resolves to the fair market price. If a pitcher enters the game in relief after not starting, relief appearances do not count, and the market also resolves to the fair market price. The settlement hinges on each pitcher's starting role and the outs they record while starting; any pitching after relief entry is irrelevant for outcome determination.
