This event group covers two distinct MLB prediction markets for the Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees game scheduled for June 30, 2026 at 7:05 PM ET: (1) the match winner market, and (2) a first-inning run-scoring market. The markets span three platforms with slightly different event date references and scope definitions.
In the upcoming MLB game between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees, scheduled for June 30 at 7:05PM ET: This market will resolve to "Detroit Tigers" if the Detroit Tigers win the game. This market will resolve to "New York Yankees" if the New York Yankees win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
If either team scores a run in the first inning of the Detroit vs New York Y professional baseball game originally scheduled for Jun 29, 2026 at 7:05 PM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes.

On Predict and Polymarket, traders independently set prices based on their own views, creating natural divergence. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform-specific factors—including user base composition, fee structures, liquidity depth, and order-flow timing—mean the same game can trade at different implied probabilities across venues. Arbitrage traders exploit these gaps, but friction costs and execution risk often prevent full convergence. Monitoring both platforms reveals which side commands stronger conviction and whether one venue is leading price discovery on this matchup.
Key catalysts include roster changes, injury announcements, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical matchups. Betting line movement at major sportsbooks often precedes prediction market shifts, so tracking external odds can signal incoming repricing. Weather, travel schedules, and rest days also influence trader sentiment. As game day approaches, live betting action and pre-game commentary typically accelerate volatility. Monitoring sports news and social sentiment alongside this market provides early warning of significant probability swings.
