The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. Prediction market odds on this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than set bookmaker adjustments. On some platforms, implied probabilities can be more volatile, especially with low volume. For example, a sportsbook might offer fixed odds on a 1-1 draw, while traders continuously update their views based on new information, news, or shifting team form. This can create pricing gaps, with prediction markets sometimes showing higher or lower confidence in specific scores than conventional bookmakers.
On Polymarket and Limitless, prices can vary due to differences in user base, liquidity, and how each platform handles trading fees. Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one venue might attract more European football fans, skewing its odds toward certain scores, while another with a global audience could price outcomes more conservatively. Additionally, each platform’s unique trading volume and recent activity can push its implied chances higher or lower, leading to visible gaps between the two sites for the same match.
Injuries, weather updates, or late-team changes could shift this market as they affect expected scoring patterns. Key players being ruled out or a sudden downpour that favors defensive play may cause traders to reassess likely outcomes. Also, any significant betting spikes on one platform can cascade to others, especially if volume jumps above $82 in a short period, signaling new information or sentiment that others follow.
