On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, with the platform ensuring that the total value of all shares sums to 1. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust predictions accordingly.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Derevianko vs Zhyrnov match, as reported by the governing body of the sport. Traders who hold shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding the condition of either fighter, such as injuries or illness, would likely cause significant movement. Changes in expert predictions or analysis, particularly if they suggest a shift in the perceived likelihood of either fighter winning, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements about the match itself, such as a change in venue or rules, could also introduce volatility. Overall, any information that alters the perceived probabilities will likely be reflected in the market price.
