Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate forecast of events than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. This is because prediction markets incentivize participants to be well-informed and express their true beliefs. While sportsbook odds are often influenced by factors like house bias and marketing, this market relies on the collective intelligence of traders. However, discrepancies can emerge due to differing levels of liquidity and the specific expertise represented within each venue. It’s common to see initial differences that narrow as the event approaches.
