This set of markets tracks how many points each team will score in an upcoming college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the number of points a team must exceed for the market to settle positively.
All markets resolve based on the official final point totals from the Delaware vs Vanderbilt college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. For each market, if the specified team scores more than the stated threshold points, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original start time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the actual result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring impartial treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point thresholds set in each individual market.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those initially set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own information and analysis. As new information becomes available, the odds in this market can adjust more rapidly than traditional sportsbook lines. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a significant event or announcement that impacts team performance expectations. Examining these differences can reveal insights into public perception versus expert opinion.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different team total outcomes, and the price of each contract reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices converge to reflect the most accurate assessment of the event's likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular team total is likely, the price of the corresponding contract will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market is constantly updating its predictions.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final team totals for both Delaware and Vanderbilt will be sourced from official game statistics. The market will settle based on the actual combined point totals achieved by each team during the game. Any potential adjustments or corrections to the official statistics will be considered in determining the final resolution. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Kalshi once the outcome is officially confirmed.
Several signals could influence trading activity in this market. Injury reports for key players on either team would likely cause significant price adjustments. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, particularly if they affect the teams’ playing styles, could also move the market. News regarding coaching strategies or team morale might also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any late-breaking information about player availability or team dynamics could lead to shifts in the odds. Monitoring these factors closely can help you anticipate potential market movements and make informed trading decisions.
