These markets focus on how much either team wins by specifically in the final quarter of a college football game, ignoring any points from earlier periods. Each market has a different threshold for the winning margin needed in that quarter.
The markets resolve based on the point differential in the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) of the Delaware vs Vanderbilt college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. Each market specifies a different threshold for Vanderbilt or Delaware to win the quarter by. If Vanderbilt wins the fourth quarter by more than the specified margin (e.g., 10.5, 7.5, 6.5, 4.5, or 3.5 points), the corresponding Vanderbilt market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if Delaware wins the fourth quarter by more than the specified margin (e.g., 10.5, 7.5, 6.5, 3.5, or 2.5 points), the corresponding Delaware market resolves to Yes. Only points scored during the fourth quarter count toward these markets. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as an event approaches. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to profit from public perception, while this market aggregates the views of many independent traders. However, sportsbook odds can initially move markets here, particularly before significant volume builds. It's common to see differences, as this market represents a different set of participants and incentives than a typical sportsbook.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as determined by supply and demand. Traders are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome, as profitable trades are rewarded. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price discovery process is dynamic, with prices fluctuating based on new information and trading activity, and the market is open until Sep 12, 2026.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final point spread for the 4th quarter of the Delaware vs Vanderbilt game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result reported by the governing athletic body. The market will determine which contracts pay out based on whether the actual point spread falls within the range represented by the purchased contracts. Traders holding winning contracts will receive a payout, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the Delaware vs Vanderbilt spread between now and Sep 12, 2026. Key injuries to star players on either team would likely cause significant movement, as would any major coaching changes or shifts in team performance during the season. Unexpected news regarding team morale or internal conflicts could also impact trading activity. Finally, large-volume trades from informed participants could signal new information or a change in sentiment, driving price fluctuations in this market.
