Description

In the upcoming DEL game, scheduled for April 20 at 1:30PM ET: If Koelner Haie win, the market will resolve to "Koelner Haie". If Eisbaeren Berlin win, the market will resolve to "Eisbaeren Berlin". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The result will be determined based on the final score including any overtime periods and shootouts. In the event of a shootout, one goal will be added to the winning team's score for the purpose of resolution.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi market contains a logical contradiction: it resolves YES if EITHER team wins, making it impossible to differentiate outcomes. This creates a fundamentally unresolvable market structure that violates basic binary logic.Hero tip: Avoid trading the Kalshi market entirely. The resolution rule states both 'If Kolner Haie wins...resolves YES' AND 'If Eisbären Berlin wins...resolves YES', meaning the market will always resolve YES regardless of outcome. Polymarket is the only logically coherent venue for this event.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Binary outcome structure: resolves to 'Koelner Haie' if Koelner Haie wins, resolves to 'Eisbaeren Berlin' if Eisbaeren Berlin wins. Includes edge case handling for postponement (market stays open) and cancellation (50-50 split). Shootout goals are counted toward final score.
  • Kalshi: Logical contradiction in resolution rules: 'If Kolner Haie wins...resolves to Yes' AND 'If Eisbären Berlin wins...resolves to Yes'. Both possible outcomes map to the same resolution (YES), leaving no path to NO resolution and violating binary market structure.
