Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook has mispriced the fight, they can take the opposite position in this market, causing the odds to diverge. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before major events, as differing information and perspectives are weighed.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Maksym vs. Derevianko fight. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each fighter winning. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the market. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated and responsive to changing conditions.

This market resolves around Sep 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Maksym vs. Derevianko fight, as declared by the relevant boxing authorities. Any official decision, including a knockout, technical knockout, decision, or disqualification, will determine the winning outcome.
