This market determines the winner of the second set in the professional tennis match between Dayana Yastremska and Aoi Ito at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The outcome depends on which player wins the set according to standard tennis scoring rules.
Resolution is based on the outcome of set 2 in the Dayana Yastremska vs Aoi Ito match at 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real money at stake. Traders here have direct financial incentive to price outcomes accurately, which can lead to sharper, more responsive odds than traditional sportsbooks. Comparing this market's prices to major sportsbook lines on the same event can reveal where smart money sees value or where public perception may be lagging.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the probability traders assign to that outcome, ranging from near-zero to near-100. As new bets flow in, prices adjust in real time. Higher prices indicate stronger trader conviction; lower prices suggest skepticism. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to breaking news, betting patterns, and any shifts in match conditions or player status.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the Yastremska vs Ito match concludes and the second set result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official result of Set 2 as recorded by the tournament or match organizers. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell contracts based on their expectations. Resolution is final once the set winner is confirmed, at which time the winning outcome pays out in full and the losing outcome expires worthless.
Several factors could shift prices in this market before resolution. Player injury announcements or withdrawal news would trigger sharp repricing. Real-time match developments—such as one player winning the first set decisively or showing fatigue—often drive significant trading activity. Weather delays or court surface conditions may also influence trader positioning. Pre-match form updates, recent head-to-head records, or betting line movements from major sportsbooks can spark volatility. Additionally, any official tournament communications about scheduling or player status could prompt rapid price adjustments as traders reassess their edge.
