Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the beliefs of a diverse group of forecasters. Often, prediction markets can be more accurate than traditional odds, especially when there's significant public information available. However, sportsbooks may react more quickly to breaking news, such as injuries, while this market’s price adjustments depend on traders actively responding to that information. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, offering opportunities for informed traders.
