Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what is readily available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on team rankings and player statistics, this market allows for dynamic adjustments based on a wider range of factors, such as late-breaking news or subtle shifts in perceived player form. It’s common to see prediction market probabilities diverge from sportsbook implied probabilities, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. Comparing these odds can provide a more comprehensive view of the potential outcome.
