Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like marketing or house biases, while this market relies on the collective predictions of informed traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Analyzing these differences can reveal where the market believes sportsbooks are over or underestimating the likelihood of certain outcomes. Keep in mind that prediction markets can sometimes be more accurate than traditional forecasts, though past performance isn’t indicative of future results.
