This market tracks the outcome of the second set in a professional tennis match between Daniel Michalski and Calvin Hemery during the 2026 ATP Gstaad Qualification Round 1 on July 12. The winner of set 2 determines the market resolution.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 in the Daniel Michalski vs Calvin Hemery match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are settled at Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different trader bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on their beliefs about the outcome. Many analysts find prediction markets more efficient at pricing uncertain events because participants have direct financial exposure. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd sees value or disagreement.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the crowd's collective probability estimate, ranging from near zero to near one hundred. As new information emerges or trader conviction shifts, bids and asks adjust in real time, ensuring the market price stays responsive to fresh signals about the set winner.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the second set of the Michalski vs Hemery match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is binary: one player will be confirmed as the set victor, and the market will settle accordingly. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless.
Several factors could shift odds before Jul 12, 2026. Player injury reports, recent form or head-to-head records, court surface conditions, and weather forecasts often influence tennis market prices. Live updates during the first set—such as one player breaking serve or showing dominance—typically trigger sharp repricing of the second set outcome. News about player fitness, coaching changes, or unexpected match dynamics can also prompt traders to reassess their positions and move the market significantly.
